5. Procedure for inquiries and claims

You, your successors or your representative can write to us on WhatsApp or through the contact form. To process the request we need your name, the data or topic it concerns, a description of what you are requesting and a way to reply to you.

  1. Inquiries

If you want to know what data of yours we hold or how we use it, we reply within a maximum of ten (10) business days from receipt of the inquiry. If that isn't possible, we explain why and reply no later than five (5) business days after the first deadline (Article 14 of Law 1581 of 2012).

If you believe your data should be corrected, updated or deleted, or that we have breached the law, you can file a claim. If it is incomplete, we will ask you to complete it within the following five (5) business days; if two (2) months pass without a response, the claim will be considered withdrawn. We reply within a maximum of fifteen (15) business days from the day after receipt; if that isn't possible, we tell you why and reply no later than eight (8) business days after the first deadline (Article 15 of Law 1581 of 2012).

6. International transfer and transmission of data

The data controller is located in the United States, and data is processed there through the email, form and web hosting providers we use to run the site. Data may also be processed by messaging providers such as WhatsApp and by web analytics providers. We require these processors to maintain security and confidentiality and to use the data only for the purposes in this policy.

By giving us your data and accepting this policy, you expressly authorize this international transfer and transmission, under Article 26 of Law 1581 of 2012 and its implementing regulations.

7. Information security

We apply reasonable technical, human and administrative measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorized consultation, use or access: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to team members who need it and providers with recognized security standards. No system is infallible, but we work to reduce risks and act quickly if something happens.

8. Data of children and adolescents

Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us their data, write to us and we will delete it, always respecting the minor's best interests and fundamental rights.

9. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as needed for the purposes described, while we have a relationship with you or for the period required by applicable law. After that, we delete or anonymize it.

10. Effective date and changes

This policy is effective as of October 15, 2026. Databases will remain in force for as long as the purposes described are being fulfilled.

This policy may be updated. When we make significant changes, we will post the new version on this same page with its effective date. We recommend reviewing it from time to time.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I ask bogotaseo.com to delete my data?

Message us on WhatsApp or use the form on the contact page with your name, the data you want deleted and a way to reply to you. The request is handled as a claim, and we answer within fifteen business days, unless there is a legal or contractual duty to keep the information.
